I've tried other random players like windows media, etc, and there isn't such a problem.
Basically, when I increase brightness and contrast to 100% to make the video as bright as possible (basically destroying the video) the screen asctually isn't white, but gray. To CLARIFY, I do not mean brightness as an 'overall' video looks dark, I mean as in 'the Potplayer is missing highlights, and all of them look tuned down. I've been using many modifications so I naturally thought I F'd something up, so I reset all the prefferences to a default. Since a couple of days ago I've realized that any video I play with Potplayer is dimmed/dark.
